Visitor visas
Schengen countries (Germany, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Spain, Portugal and more): €90 for adults, €45 for children aged 6–11, plus the visa centre's service fee.
UK Standard Visitor: £135.
Canada visitor visa: CAD 100, plus CAD 85 biometrics.
Australia Visitor (subclass 600): AUD 250 from outside Australia (from 1 July 2026).
New Zealand visitor visa: from NZD 441.
US B-1/B-2: USD 185 MRV fee — but new B visas for Nigerians are largely suspended in 2026.
Student visas and proof of funds
Canada: study permit CAD 150 + biometrics CAD 85. Living costs to prove: CAD 23,448 plus first-year tuition.
UK: Student visa £558 + £776 a year health surcharge. Funds: £1,529 a month in London or £1,171 outside London, up to 9 months.
Germany: blocked account of €11,904 a year (€992 a month).
Sweden: SEK 10,656 a month of study (2026 figure).
Australia: Student visa (subclass 500) AUD 2,500 from 1 July 2026. Living costs: AUD 29,710 a year.
New Zealand: living costs of NZD 20,000 a year.
Belgium: €1,062 a month for the 2026–27 academic year (€12,744 a year), usually via a blocked account or sponsorship.
Work routes: salary thresholds
UK Skilled Worker: £41,700 a year (general threshold).
Germany EU Blue Card: €50,700 a year, or €45,934.20 for shortage occupations and recent graduates (2026).
Netherlands highly skilled migrant: €5,942 a month gross aged 30+, €4,357 under 30 (2026).
Sweden work permit: SEK 34,470 a month (90% of the median wage, from 16 June 2026).
Ireland Critical Skills Employment Permit: €40,904 a year (from 1 March 2026).
Australia Skills in Demand visa: about AUD 79,423 a year (from 1 July 2026).
Spain EU Blue Card: about €39,270 a year (2026).
Belgium EU Blue Card: set by region — about €56,976 in Brussels, €63,586 in Flanders and €68,815 in Wallonia.
Remote workers: Portugal's digital nomad visa needs €3,680 a month; Spain's about €2,849 a month (2026).
